The school’s scholarship program helps keep classes accessible since even our modest tuition rates can be a financial challenge for many families. Twice a year, in January and July, students may apply for scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need as well as merit. Students applying for a scholarship in July will be required to audition for the scholarship in August. Students applying for a scholarship in January will be required to audition for the scholarship in February. All students pay something for lessons, even if it’s only a dollar a week, as we believe it is important for families to place a value on music education. A great many of our students receive scholarship support.
Students of all experience levels are awarded scholarships. Parents need to provide financial documentation to demonstrate financial need. Students must provide a recommendation from an adult outside of their family as well as their most current report card. Students also complete a questionnaire about their interest in music and why they would like to study.
