The Neighborhood Music School offers private and group instruction in a variety of orchestral instruments and voice. All classes are taught by our teaching staff of professional musicians and educators whose mentoring and inspirational teaching methods encourage students to strive for excellence in all that they do.
For those who wish to learn music in a group environment, or for those who wish to supplement their private instruction with an ensemble experience, the Neighborhood Music School offers ensemble instruction. Ensemble instrumental classes have minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 students. Weekly lessons exist for a variety of instruments, including guitar, violin and mixed strings, and usually run in 8-week sessions.
For those budding musicians aged 3 – 6 years old who are not ready for formal music education, the Neighborhood Music School provides a Young Musicians Class that introduces these children to music through age-appropriate musical activities, including singing, movement to music, rhythm instruments and early note-reading. One class is offered for children aged 3 and 4, and another for those aged 5 and 6. Both classes run in 6- to 8-week sessions.
